Charlotte’s Real Jersey Ice Cream, Dewsbury
Charlotte’s Real Jersey Ice Cream is made on The Meadows, Geoff and Audrey Wraithmell’s farm near Dewsbury. The ice cream was named after the couple’s daughter and has been going from strength to strength since it began. The ice cream is made using milk from the farm’s herd of Jersey cows and comes in 24 different flavours. It’s on sale at the farm’s ice cream parlour, which is the highlight of a day out at the farm. Apart from sampling the ice cream, gateaux, sundaes and pastries in the parlour, visitors to the farm can meet the cows and other animals or enjoy a round on the crazy golf course. And a play area means children can burn off some energy. The farm is gloriously situated in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, and enjoying the spectacular views are an important part of any visit. The ice cream is very much in demand in the local area and the Wraithmells recently invested in a “shop in a box”. Supplied by RSS Hereford, it’s a self-contained unit that can be taken to events and fairs and means that even more people will be able to sample the glorious ice cream! |
