Bellini Ice Cream Parlour, Shrewsbury
Bellini opened in Shrewsbury in December 2005. The coffee shop / ice cream parlour’s partners, Orazio, Paola and Umberto haven’t looked back since. The partners’ backgrounds are in hairdressing and teaching, but they all wanted to try something new and decided to open an authentic Italian coffee shop / ice cream parlour. Orazio turned to RSS Hereford after seeing their details in the trade press. On the ice cream side of things, RSS Hereford supplied all the knowledge, information and equipment they needed to get started. This included everything from supplying the equipment to how to make and display mouth watering artisan ice cream. RSS Hereford also provided them with shop design and fitting expertise. Richard Makin designed the shop after extensive discussions on what it needed to achieve. This included having fully opening front doors to make the most of summer days. Once the design had been finalised, RSS Hereford invited the partners of Bellini to our Italian manufacturer's production line over in Italy. As the only ice cream parlour for almost sixty miles, Bellini is quite an attraction and customer numbers are increasing rapidly. Once inside, customers are presented with a delicious display of enticing ice cream flavours and desserts. Amongst the most popular are the Coconut and Stracciatella ice creams and the strawberry-flavoured Pink Princess sundae. They may even be lucky enough to try one of the parlour’s occasional specials, such as the red ice cream created to celebrate Red Nose Day. |
