First Class Demonstration Laboratory and Ice Cream Parlour

Over 30 years, and one ice cream parlour later, we are proud to announce our newly refurbished demonstration laboratory and ice cream parlour in our showroom in Hereford. For those who have already visited our premises, you will not believe your eyes at the wonderful transformation that has taken place. This truly shows what wonders can be worked with a new shop-fit that becomes our cabinets and bar counters.

ICA Show Highlights

The centre point of our stand this year is the wonderful round ice cream cabinet called the Punto G, as seen on our website for a year now, but finally you can see it for yourself at the ICA show. Designed to remove the barrier between the operator and the customer, the novel concept is eye catching and fun – bound to help you sell loads more ice cream!

Corema Garda 600 Soft Ice Cream Machine

At last! We’ve found an easy to operate, easy to clean, hard working and reliable soft ice cream machine. The largest model, producing up to 600 cones per hour (75gr each) will be working at the show, so see it and believe it! Find out more about our soft ice cream making equipment.

Scoops all round!

2007 is obviously the year of the scoop as we’ve been involved with the opening of three new ice cream parlours all with “Scoop” in the name. Scoops has opened in Covent Garden in London with cabinets and bar counter from our Italian supplier Bocchini. The Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington is home to Scoops! Ice Cream Parlour with another beautiful shop-fit from Bocchini. We also supplied the ice cream making equipment and taught them how to make their wonderful Gelato. Last, but not least, is Scoop & Crumb in Brighton, which has just opened its doors to the public. We wish them all much success in their new businesses.

SIGEP Exhibition 2008

If you have an interest in Italian Ice Cream, Chocolate or Patisserie products then you must visit Rimini, in Italy during January. Although this seaside town is pretty quiet at this time of year, the SIGEP Exhibition will be held at the Rimini Exhibition Centre January 26 th – 30 th 2008. You will be amazed at the skill and knowledge of the Italian experts as well as enjoy the myriad of samples of anything new for the coming season. It is well worth the cost of a cheap flight to Bologna or Fiorli airports, but make your hotel reservation early. For more information visit the SIGEP website.

RSS at the Racetrack

After our busiest summer ever, we thought that everyone at RSS deserved to let off steam at our local Go-Kart race track. On a damp and grey Saturday in September (not dissimilar to our summer), the competition was fierce and in some places quite vicious, as everyone vied for top places in the heats. As the drizzle started again and no tyre changes allowed it was anyone’s game as a spin offs were frequent. The final between Neil, Richard, Jenna and John, saw Neil take an early lead leaving Richard and Jenna to fight it out tyre to tyre (literally!) for second and third places. In the end the testosterone (and a bit of dirty driving) beat the only female finalist. Well done to all who took part.
